Curriculum

Bal Bhavan, SV follows holistic pattern of education which combines curricular and co-curricular activities so that the growth encompasses mental, physical and social aspects of its students. We believe in imparting quality education that goes beyond the text books focusing on 21st century skills like critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, problem solving, decision making and artificial intelligence with experiential learning.

The focus is on integrated approach with project based learning and emphasis is on sound acquisition of language, numeracy and life skills.

Teaching Pedagogy
(Nur to II)

Activities appeal to the child's innate tendencies. At the pre primary level we provide theme-based activities that are learning related. Language is taught through phonetic sounds. Number work is taught through concrete examples and is led to conclude step by step in a logical way. EVS is taught through play way method involving investigation, exploration and discovery.

To stimulate learning we have a special play area, which is a well-equipped room where students are led to discover the world around them based on the themes through fantasy or imaginative play. Multimedia and audio visual aids further facilitate their learning and the fivefold development i.e. Physical development, Social development, Emotional development, Mental development and Spiritual development.

Teaching Pedagogy
(III to V)

At Bal Bhavan we develop knowledge skills and learning attitude amongst our children by creating learning environment and opportunities for them in the school itself so they can explore, investigate, analyze, synthesis, evaluate and create. Hence, Bal Bhavan has been having continuous and comprehensive evaluation pattern for classes III to V.

The Primary School recognizes the link between development and learning. Inquiry-based curriculum focuses on the child as a learner. The CCE pattern of assessment introduced takes the students through a journey of activity based learning. The various subject activity rooms, projects, group work, role play, debates etc. lead to higher levels of learning which shift the focus from need for learning to love for learning.

Teaching Pedagogy
(VI to VIII)

The students are evaluated as per the DOE pattern. Regular assessments are conducted to identify the learning taking place. The middle and secondary level focuses on the 21st century skills, technological knowhow, artificial intelligence and most importantly the academic excellence. The physical fitness at this stage is taken care through professional sports trainings and sports activities.
